You may watch the setup in the very last scene of the video. This Setup may be useful especially for use in "Search&Rescue", to keep "up to date" the widely distributed rescue forces on the ground, or to reach a distant deployment site/control center. This way you may double the transmission range of the GB203 om TH to ST16, depending on your transmitter, 1-3 km, with 2nd transmitter on the ST16, additional 1-2 km.

Receiving the FLIR video stream via "Video in", and at the same time, using "Video out", you may stream the live view to goggles, or additional monitors via cable, or a second 5.8 ghz-transmitter. On the ST16, by using the additional "Ahltec Carbon bracket", I've mounted the "Feelworld FW1018 Field Monitor" on top (advantage of several In-/Output connectors as HDMI - for use with the TH/CGO3+-connection - and Video in/out, for use with other 5.8 analogous receivers). Though I'm able to use both configurations, my favourite setup is as follows:Ĭreate a "NEW Model", bind the ST16 with the Typhoon H, but without choosing/binding a camera (the GB203 will work up/down), Flight control as usual (TH), but, of course, no life stream on the ST16 screen (telemetry data available, of course)Ĭonnect a "normal" 5.8 GHZ-Transmitter to the FLIR Or, by connecting another, "normal analog" transmitter 5.8 GHz, to the FLIR, replacing the MK58 Transmitter, you may realize a video downlink to one (or several, at the same time) monitor with integrated 5.8 Ghz receiver.

With this Settings, you have realized a video downlink directly to the st10+ of the Yuneec Q500 Typhoon G, and parallel to a notebook or tablet with 5.8 ghz WLAN-Receiver, by running VLC Mediaplayer, which is capable of receiving the live video stream, by "open media stream" and entering the special command rtsp://192.168.110.1/cam1/h264 The following cameras are supported: MK58 Downlink. You may have a look to THIS video, where you may discover the necessary changes: 10x digital zoom: enlarge the video stream with pinch to zoom Google Cardboard FPV (In App purchase). The power & video connection cable delivered with the "G-Gimbal & MK58 digital downlink Transmitter"-System has to be upgraded, too.you'll have to add/solder a single power-line from this cable to the Video connection cable (there are mini-USB -plugs available at ebay, with both video AND Powerline, to connect with, and provide a 5V power input source for the FLIR. This Gimbal has to be modified to fit the FLIR Thermal Cam, which is slightly bigger (1.5mm more height) than the GoPro.

It's the GB203-Gimbal from the "Typhoon Q500 G", which normally is used to fix the GoPro-ActionCam for use with this Copter. Have a look at my detailed answer I wrote to another one's question to my setup shown in this video. Hi, it's a custom setup, by modifying a GOPRO-Gimbal (GB203, delivered with the Yuneec Q500 Typhoon G, available also separate).
